  1. Mine was cloned once in Sao Paulo at the big mall. It was a really nice shop and "high end" merchandise. I got back to USA and tons of charges. I thought the guy in the store was just flirting with me cause he thought I was sexy but I guess he was just occupying my time while he slid the card under the counter to copy it. And, I didn't even get a release.

    Grindr is good in vegas

I find Grindr to be good for me in Atlanta, Vegas, LA and New York. I find guys that want to say hi to me and want "roses." I thought about getting them a few dozen but I guess they wanted something more. In Thailand and Jordan and Turkey, Grindr is amazing. Easy on and east to get off for free.

  4. AS, my understanding is that China did not devalue its currency so much as cut it loose from its (not quite formal) peg to the US dollar. The dollar is up about 20% in the last year on nearly all major currencies, dragging the yuan up right along with it. In effect the Finance Ministry of China has been allowing the US Federal Reserve to set the yuan's exchange rate. What China did was knock 2% off the official exchange rate and announce that in the future it will allow the market to set the rate (with the usual Chinese caveat of 'in so far as we see fit)'. I know this is being sold as a devaluation by the media but really it's more of a reaction to the sky high valuation of the dollar so far as I can see. Too bad for Brazil but its troubles are clearly home grown not stamped 'Made In China'.

  5. This piece notes how China's currency devaluation will add to Brazil's economic woes because of China being such a huge export market for Brazil. China's currency move will hurt one country more than any other https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/chinas-currency-move-hurt-one-194619901.html

    Brazil Domestic Carriers

Several years back, I would have said Varig was the best air carrier for Brazil. However, Varig no longer operates as a named carrier. Varig was merged into GOL. The three main existing air carriers offer pretty much the same fares, depending on when you travel and when you buy the ticket. There is GOL, TAM and Azul. If you book flights on-line and early enough, it is possible to get some very reasonable fares. There is also a bargain that is not often advertised. It is called -TAM and/or GOL Air Pass. Here is a link that explains the rules for the air passes. Depending on your travel desires, it is possible to save a fair amount of money using these air passes. http://www.brol.com/airpass/ As you can see from the link, a minimum of four flights within Brazil must be booked with the Brazil air pass. When I first started traveling to Brazil, I used to buy these passes fairly often. It was a way to see lots of cities within Brazil. The old rules were less restrictive before the present rules were initiated. The new rules with GOL, allow a passenger to see not just Brazil but other parts of South America in addition to Brazil. See the link to learn the appropriate rules for each pass. -
