Apparently there exists an Earth like planet named Gliese Cc which is a mere 22 light years away. Any one of us could go there so long as we can go the speed of light and don't mind giving up 22 years back on Earth. (If we did not come back, seemingly it would not matter.) This planet is 4.5 times as big as Earth but I am willing to suppose we will NOT weigh 4.5 times as much. That would be a tragedy indeed. One interesting thing is that this planet orbits it's sun every 28 days. So those of us who enjoy the change of seasons would be in for a windfall. A complete "year" of seasonal changes every 28 days. I realize that some among us do that by traveling north to south and vice versa with seasonality. But, they are wealthy or something.

I don't think a tour guide is really needed in Thailand. It is easy to get around and go places and do things.
But, if you want companionship, I suggest hiring a guide that is cute and gay. There was a recent thread on GayThailand about that. For me, I would have loved this on my first few trips. The cost is about 30-40 USD per day and I am sure it would be well worth it.
Or, just go and find a guy you like that speaks English and have him stay with you the entire trip.
Don't do like I have done and find one guy (or two in my case) and keep them for 10 years. That shit gets really expensive.
I know you will love Thailand.
Almost no mention of him being gay in the article (that is good news) and no comments regarding such either. Are Canadian commenters more pc than US ones? Certainly they have been more accepting in general.

Of course you are still here to tell of it. After all, a wake also describes the after motion of a boat under way. You and I are still "under way" or so I think.

Were these lads complete with coffins and, if so, did they have bells installed on the lids?
You know the point of going out with a big bang, do you not? In other words, I want to have my wake LONG before my funeral, as in while I am still alive. Whiskey, beer and assorted favors included.

I've been going there twice a year for the last three years without incident and, if anything, I find it has gotten safer. Like any big city there are areas that have a higher crime rate than others.
