I find the different venues that are available for commercial sex much easier than in Brazil. I love the massage places in Thailand where you will often find 50 or more boys available in the afternoon or evening. I like the gogo bars where you will find 100 guys on stage and then 10 other bars in walking distance with the same thing. I like the ease to use GayRomeo and other devices to find boys and the parks that are for cruising and I feel safe doing it. I just find the availability to pick up guys in Thailand much easier and the numbers are much greater than they are in Brazil. In Rio on a typical day, you may find 400 guys in all the saunas. In Bangkok, you will find 10x that amount in the gogo bars plus all the other places. Like the OP said, I also pick up from the malls boys that are commercial and non commercial. Just a smile and a hello and they will come back with you. Not all, but some. There is much to see in Bangkok and the best advice I can give is to not fall in love. The place is safe and cheap and the ease of guys looking for a permanent BF is overwhelming. I have 2 that I have taken care of for over 10 years. I adore them and am with them on every trip I go there. If you have not been in years, you should try again. What kind of hints do you want? hotels? bars? other cities?

You will have no problem finding quality. But better yet, lots less expensive than professional escorts that you will find on Gayromeo. We all have our likes and dislikes. Someone I think is extremely good looking may not work for you. But as stated above, the choices are overwhelming. I also feel like even though these boys work in the sex industry, there is still a feeling of innocence when you take a boy off. Not all, but they feel much less professional than escorts in other countries. I met a boy at a beer bar over the weekend. He sat with me, and fair amount of touching and whispering things in my ear. I went back last night and said do you want to come back to my apartment and practice all those fun things you said to me? After a few minutes of smiling at each other he said yes. We went back to my place and let's just say , after a couple of hours of fun, I slept better than the last 6 months. He wouldn't have been my first choice and if I was looking online, I wouldn't have picked him. But in the atmosphere you have here in Bangkok, it's easy to spend a lot of time with a boy and get to know him before you decide. His personality won me over. I wanted to fool around with him. I have 2 other boys I met over the weekend that I will be meeting up with this week. The hot boys are more in demand over the weekend, so I wait till the mid-week times to go after them. One advantage of being here a month.

  3. As it usual in the world of porn, another company that made money off of porn for years has decided to stop serving those customers. To me, it is no surprise. Back ages ago, Paypal not only allowed porn companies to use their service but encouraged it. However, all of the sudden they stopped and froze millions of dollars in accounts. Sad to see that Google has made this decision. I guess a free Internet is just as free as those that run it with it to be free. http://money.cnn.com/2015/02/24/technology/google-porn-blogger/

Hi planetime: Thanks for the interesting reports. You wrote that finding guys in Bangkok is easy. My question is - Are the guys that are easy to find in Bangkok, good looking by standards that are equal to the standards of escorts advertising on gayromeo.com? I love Brazil and I will continue to visit there. However, I also visit other places. I have not been to Bangkok in many years. Maybe it is time to check out that city again. I am curious if I would or could like visiting Bangkok as much as I enjoy visiting Brazil. A few hints or comments will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A bit back, there was a discussion about the price of Viagra in a different forum. I couldn't find it, so I thought I would use my new trip to Bankgok as a place to post some info. I saw a posting somewhere if you were looking for Viagra in a regular chain pharmacy, you would need doctors prescription, but if you went to a small neighborhood pharmacy you might find it without prescription. I asked my friend at one of the bars on Soi Twilight about this. There is a pharmacy just across the street. He said no problem. I go over and get it for customers all the time. Just give me $48.00 for 4. He was gone 2 minutes and I had a box of 4. Compared to the $42.00 each Walgreens wanted, glad I waited. Interesting sidelight, when boys see you buying it, they become very frisky...hummmm Backing up a bit, I left Ft. Lauderdale for Bangkok last Monday. With all the cold and snow in the east (60's in Fl.) time to head for the warmer climes of the massage palors of Bangkok. As I get older each trip seems to get longer. I'm here for a month, so that helps that I don't need to run out the door and cram everything into a week. This has been a fairly busy Chinese New Years week here. I decided to just hang at Hot Male bar for the last 4 nights with my friends. Lots of Chinese taking off boys, so I decided to wait till after the weekend before dipping my toes into the boy pool. And a large pool it is. It's the end of the high season, so still lots of boys in town and temperatures are starting to warm up. Low 90 days, 78 or so nights. Went to a couple of the shows. With the government trying to install morals, shows have been all over the place. Wearing jeans on stage, no nudity, no fun. Right now things are ok. Underwear on boys, nudity during shows, fuck shows and last night saw a cum show, which I hadn't seen in the past. Drinks expensive. $10.50 upstairs and about $6.00 at outdoor bars. Except Boys Bangkok. Big place, packed every show. 100 boys. Something for everyone. But drink prices $15.00 It's taken me a few days to unwind, but I'm thinking I should take the Viagra for a test drive this evening. I was at Hot Male bar a couple of nights ago when 2 boys came in and started drinking beers. One of the boys was so hot, I just sat and watched him all evening. As he and friend got a very heavy buzz going, he was just a happy happy mess. He saw me staring (a bit) and kept smiling at me. I'm just hating life as the cutest boy I've seen since I got here is a customer. They leave and I told my friend, customer was hot and wish I could meet up with him. My friend says, he works down the street at a bar, no problem meeting. Stopped by last night and he was still all smiles, and it will happen sometime next week. So for now, it's off to the grocery for some stocking up, my late afternoon nap, and then hopefully something more meaningful to report after a Saturday night on the town.

I use to stay at The Tantawan. Priced under $100.00 a night. Very acceptable to guest. Great breakfast in the mornings. Easy walking distance to the gay bars and restaurants. They could use a coat of paint. Staff is amazing. A couple of years ago, I moved to the Courtyard by Marriott. A $1.00 cab ride to all the fun places. New, bright, great staff. I never had a problem having guest. Great breakfast buffet. I stop by now and then just for that. About 2 years ago, I wanted to stay a month. That's when hotels get pricey. I tried Airbnb. I feel I got lucky. I've stay in this apartment every trip since. Airbnb has a great choice in Bangkok. Hotel prices in Bangkok are some of the best in the world. Taxis cheap and plentiful, and sky train takes you to most places you would want to go. I live in Ft.Lauderdale and have been to Rio many times. (It's where I met TotallyOz for the first time). As you know, prices went thru the roof. I had never been to Thailand and figured this would be a good time to try it out. Been coming here for 6 years or so. I was working back then and trips were 1 week or so. Now I'm retired so time not an issue and usually stay 1 month at a time. The airfare from Miami to Bangkok is barely more than Miami to Rio. But once you get here, Bangkok is much cheaper. The long trip is probably the biggest drawback. Now all this talk about having fun in Bangkok, think I will head out for a massage before dinner. Then later this evening I am meeting up with a really cute boy I met this weekend. I may be getting older, but this keeps me feeling younger.

  8. Car companies prefer to have a manufacturing presence in any market in which they have large sales. That serves as a natural, automatic hedge against currency fluctuations. In the US, almost all of the important foreign owned plants are located in the South, so...not so strange that many southerners drive foreign brands, after all. Further, the Japanese in particular decided in the late '70s to invest heavily in US production facilities to counter intense political pressure on Congress to put up barriers to what seemed then like a never ending flood of Japanese imports. A Tennessee senator with thousands of highly paid Toyota employees building cars in his state was judged more likely to resist protectionist legislation. ==== Loved your pair of gifs, MsAnn.

Hi planetime, Thanks for the assurance of not having a problem finding quality guys in Bangkok. I can relate to the fact that we all have different likes and dislikes. All we can do is try. With luck on our side, things generally work out favorably. You mentioned about an apartment and staying one month or so. If I like Bangkok, I will consider an apartment rather than a hotel. It all depends on my comfort level when I get there. Initially, I will use a hotel. I am more adventuresome than many of my friends who are content being a sit-at-home and hiring escorts from rentboy or sites like that. Thanks again for the interesting reports.

  12. Late Monday Update: Went to Iris Cinema at lunchtime - wanted to try someplace different. Sort of a waste of time, but the trannies were not too aggressive. Only saw 2 guys under 40 yo, and did not stay long. Ended up having a good inexpensive lunch in the area, r Carioca. Got 3 mosquito bites, but no BJs. Then went to Sexy Rose. Some rent boys from 117 were there, but I think just for free play with other hotties. If there were getting paid, it was discussed in Portuguese. Couple of hot young boys that were totally into overweight and not good looking older guys. Oh well. Saw the Kandinsky Exhibit near Meio Mundo. It was ok. It was free. If you are in Rio, go see it. M Mundo turned out to have free cabins. 45 R$ entry.61R$ total for me, free rooms, 45 admit+guarana+condoms and lube. Garoto #1: Miceal, bit older ave thin guy, not a twink, but nice looking.Great kisser. He would not bottom, kept trying to f me, ate lots of me ass (I am not really into that either). Problem is that he did understand that I am a top and he would not let me top him. Junio wanted 80 just to bottom, would not accept 50, and would not cum along with me. So no deal. He was very cute though. So #2: Bruno, musc, but would barely let me f him. Both boys came, which I pay extra for. (100 and 150 R$, Bruno was very hot and 117 muscle type, and a very nice kisser). Problem for me: I entered hungry at 6 pm. BIG MISTAKE. If you are a top, eat a good meal before entering. I finally left around 930 pm, and good luck finding a decent meal in the area around 10 pm. I wanted to eat dinner dntn and return for "sloppy seconds" as the boys at M Mundo were very hot and it was still packed when I left. In the end, I walked to Cinelandia and the prices at Amelorino (?sp) were much higher than in the past. 1/2 chicken was ?43R$-way too expensive for what is usually a very small bird. Most reasonable lunch places charge 22-28 R$. As it was late, I ate a very late dinner in Copacabana, just before 11 pm. I met some punters from Bahia and a guy named ^&*#$ from the US - but not one of our heroes. (best not to use real names). He was on his 4th when I left (and he is a bottom). OK, a slut 1st Class, and why not..... Also met some queens from the Philippines. The punters were very sociable at M Mundo, much more so than at 117. I had met some folks from France at 117 earlier in the trip, but we did not talk much, and they might have been into group play with the boys. I suspect 1 guy had boys at M Mundo. I sort of met Miceal after that romp. Moral of the story: Mangia Bene before you Mangia Bene !!

    The Oscars - Recap

Well first, I adore Neil Patrick Harris. He is always wonderful, so I suppose I was expecting alot from him. I must say that although he is charming and delightful, i was a bit disappointed. I thought he was a bit too reserved, but I suppose its due to the "low key" nature of the event. He's at his best when he's in his "song & dance" element. Highlights for Grandma 1) Neil in his Tighty Whitey's... Beautiful tight hairless body. Thank You Neil ! 2) Jennifer Hudsons "In Memorium" tribute. She sang a re-work of an awesome song she performed of the short-lived show SMASH. Her rendition of "I Can't Let Go" was powerful and poignant. (watch the original on Youtube) 3) Lady Gaga - What a pleasant surprise. No gimmicks, no crazy costumes. Just a gorgeous voice and Tribute to the music of "Sound of Music".... and then she introduced Julie Andrews. Amazeballs ! Brava Gaga !!!! And while I probably should have Loved John Legend and Common singing Glory from the movie Selma, I just couldn't. I am so over the accolades for this Dr Martin Luther King retelling..... and apparently so is Hollywood, although it did win a consolation prize....award for BEST SONG.... For the most part, the show as too long, too boring, and as always too self indulgent. But that's an award show I suppose ? I would certainly endorse NPH giving the hosting thing another shot next year. Maybe he'll loosen up and really turn it out ?

    The Oscars - Recap

I watched Downton Abby and Walking Dead. The Oscars weren't even in the running. Not sure if knowing that NPH would appear in his undies would have made any difference. Was he just in shorts or did he keep his tee shirt on? Boxers or tighty whites? Did he show a respectable amount of bulge or was it a replay of Angry Inch? Really, guys, you would think a bunch of gays would know how to give a proper review. Get your act together!

    Walking Dead Reminder

OK, Chez Msguy had a bit of hoorah last night as MsGuy and Chance scuffled over control of the remote control. Why the hell does Downton Abby and Walking Dead have to be scheduled for the same time slot? Eventually we reached a compromise: since both shows are running repeats a couple of hours later, it seemed easier to watch one first and then the other. Chance will comment on Walking Dead first and then I'll have a few words on Downton Abby. ==== LOL, was not any compromise unless me dropping my pajama bottoms and waggling my naked butt in his face until his grip on the control loosened counts as a compromise. Anyway last night there was a real shortage of good zombie killings and no people were bitten to death so it was kind of flat on the action side but there was lots of what they call character development in English class and that helped. Also there was a great slobbery kissing scene between Aaron and Eric, the gay couple, hot for TV I thought. MsGuy thought they were cute. I thought they were OK looking. I guess my standards are higher than his LOL. I am hoping for some hot boner scenes between them before the season is over. Sincerely yours Chance ==== Just a brief question/comment on Downton. Does it seem to anyone else that Thomas, the gay character, is changing his stripes? Ever the doctor told him that there was no cure for his affliction and to man up and accept that he would always be "that way", Thomas seems to be evolving into a kinder gentler guy, a little less of a vicious conniver.

Lurker. I've quoted US dollars in the above posting. Alcohol prices are close to American prices in the clubs. But prices are all over the place. I've seen the same drink run 6-15 U.S. depending on where your buying. But on average a bit cheaper than US? Axiom. I understand what you are saying. My special boy is 24. Could easily pass for 21. When we walk down the street he would hold my hand or sometimes put his hand around my waist for a bit. I would be like OMG , what are people going to think. It didn't take me long to realize that nobody was looking or cared. Life's getting shorter and I'm going to enjoy what time I have left. Finding boys in Bangkok is like the proverbial "easy as shooting a fish in a barrel. I tend to hang out on the Gay Street (Soi twilight) here virtually every person working on the street is available. Oz will tell you of shopping in the malls and the smile you can get from boys. If your good at making eye contact, you'll probably do ok. This is the land of smiles. Then there is Gayromeo. Just pages of boys. If your lonely for more than an hour in Bangkok, it's on you. My deepest sympathies to those of you back in the US experiencing all that snow and cold. A beautiful Sunday morning here. It's 85 poolside and headed for a sunny 95. I guess it would be unfair to say it's hot today. This is a great place for a winter vacation.

It took me a year or so to realize I am retired and don't have to be home in 10 days to go back to work. After I got home from my first couple of trips after retirement, i found myself sitting in front of the TV or sitting by my pool, cleaning the condo or cooking dinner, then into bed at 10. Well I can do all that in Bangkok just as easily. The real plus side in Bangkok is at almost any hour I can run to the corner massage parlor or beer bar, and for $40 dollars have a bit of very hot, cute fun for a few hours. So to answer your question, yes, I am staying 30 days per trip now. It's such a long trip 30 days gives you time to recover before you leave. I'll be here till mid March, home till mid April and back to Bangkok April into May for another 30 days. I rent an apartment thru AIBNB. Been staying in the same place each trip. American size place with pool right outside my door. Close to everything. I love the pace of the city. As long as you stay off the roads during rush hour, taxis are cheap and easy. Just use sky train at rush hour. Getting older and figure have as much fun as I can till health says otherwise.

    He's Back.....

And this time he has Ricky Martin with Him....... Ricky Martin and Simon Cowell are joining forces to turne dreams into reality! The Latin superstar will be serving as a judge AND an executive producer on Simon's new reality competition called La Banda. Auditions will be held all around the country looking for the ultimate Latino boyband as part of the biggest talent search in U.S Hispanic television history!!! Boys who aged 14 and over will be able to sign up to audition in a city near them. All of the audition information can be found right HERE. The reality competition is set to appear on the Univision Network this coming September and we can't wait to see all the talent that will be on display! Naturally, there will be comparisons to One Direction, who were discovered on Cowell's The X Factor U.K. But rather than attempting to ride on the coattails of 1D, La Banda is embracing an opportunity to finally get the Latino supergroup that the world hasn't seen since Ricky's Menudo days! And that previously mentioned world will be able to watch each piece of the group come together on TV! Latin BOY bands........YUMMY !!!!!!! Relax and have a penis-colada......

Paul, Thanks for the report. Can't wait to hear more. Can I ask, you are now spending longer times there. Are you falling in love with BKK? I know I did many many times and considered just moving there. Are you considering it? For those of you that have not been to Bangkok, you must know that the ease of finding sexy boys is better than anywhere else on earth!
