I just saw the new TV show Empire. It was excellent. I love the characters and the theme. I like the fact they have a gay character. It will be interested to see how this plays out. But, with Terrence Howell as the lead, it is going to be a fun ride. And, with Lee Daniels as the director, wow, how much more do you need for the start of a great show?

If anyone is still watching American Horror Story this season, we are almost to the end, but the Freak Show continues. There was so much to take in last night, from Fornication, to amputation to Murder, but i will focus on the arrival of Neil Patrick Harris giving a BRAVURA performance as a demented magician with a sordid, murderous past, who's life is orchestrated by a devious female puppet, whim he considers his "girlfriend" OMG, he is so creepy and scary, and shows up looking for a home and a job at the Freak show, and ends up buying it from Elsa as a cover for his unspeakable acts.... The blood was flowing and the Crazy was in abundance.... I am one fan thats hooked till the end.....

The reason you don't hear much about ozone depletion any more ia that the entire civilized world got together and banned the use and manufacture of the most reactive of the chlorofluorocarbons and tightly regulated many other ozone depleting compounds. Ranks right up there with the eradication of smallpox as an example of successful international cooperation to solve a common problem. But you're correct about it costing you. Replacing the refrigerant in your air conditioner costs 4 or 5 times what it did before they banned the bad old stuff. And the expensive new shit doesn't work as well as the cheap old stuff.
