Public Apology to Steven Draker
markgordon reacted to TotallyOz for a topic
Over the last 2 weeks, I got a bit stressed at all the posting when Daddy's site was down and to be honest, Steven's posts irked me the wrong way from the very beginning. However, no matter how much someone usually irks me, I rarely let it get to me the way I did with Steven. I would like to apologize to him and to the community for setting him on a 2 week ban. It was not the right action. Lets just say I had my period that day and after a few days of thinking on it, I said to myself, "what the fuck?" Helping the admins of this site to moderate the forums is usually the easiest job on earth as we rarely if ever need anything moderated. However, sometimes we make mistakes and I made one last week. My sincere apologies to Steven for being so short tempered and my apologies to this community for letting anyone get under my skin so much that it affected the site's morale.1 point -
Well, shame on you. After all eagles, turkeys and vultures are all scavengers (plus readers and posters herein). So, I love you too. Best regards. RA11 point

AS- Hey, I am not picking on MsGuy. I know the wild turkey (the bird, not the whiskey or maybe both) is a very cunning and smart bird. My turkey hunting friends have told me so. They have spent thousands and have very few birds to show for it. One problem is the domesticated turkey is not as smart as a bump on a log and perhaps will not even come in from the rain, leading to drowning of all things. OTOH, a bred and true Mississippian who even suggests that the Tide should have consideration for anything other than humiliation and failure might be run out of town on a rail. OTOH, Alabama, the football team, has a very enviable record, so I don't blame MsGuy for acknowledging that. Best regards, RA11 point

Darn, I thought this was going to be a treatise about Lift over Drag usually written as L/D = 50. Of course, that would be an eye opening number but one can hope. I am totally in favor of not using animals for testing. There are plenty of test subjects standing or leaning against your favorite neighborhood bar. Best regards, RA11 point

Some interesting choices. Thanks. Please keep them coming. I wanted him to do Vogue and talk about all the American Icons. But, that would most like him looking more flaming than me and hitoallusa walking together with my boa and his fabulous shoes.1 point

If he's still stuck in that fly blown village you call home, tell him to play it safe and go with the Alabama Fight Song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=jsVDFgDGK1I Can't go wrong with ROLL TIDE!1 point

MsGuy is a man after my own heart. Brandy being an after dinner drink that comforts the evening. Best regards, RA1 Yes, AS, I know you already called him on it.1 point

Some of us are born to brandy about words like 'quotidian' and others of us are left to mop up the mess left behind. Such are our different lots in life.1 point

The above totally baffles me. Any SIC aka co-pilot should be able to land an aircraft in similar circumstances. Else, why have one? I once picked up a King Air 200 in VNY (Van Nuys, CA). The pilot who flew the aircraft during the acceptance flight only had one arm. He placed his left "fake" hand (no arm) on the yoke and flew using his right hand only. He was very proficient and I had no problem with his performance. There are obvious potential problems but he overcame them in his ordinary routine. One being the power controls moving from such as full power to less when they are not being held in the full power position. This can be overcome by simply adjusting the friction locks on these controls until they are difficult to move but will not inadvertently move when released. Problem solved. This captain took routine check rides with the FAA and conducted everyday operations under Part 135 (Public Transportation) rules of US charter. Perhaps you see why I am perplexed. I agree. When will SD make his apology? Best regards, RA11 point

Without any disrespect to SD, I saw no malice aforethought by you. Best regards, RA11 point
