OK, I can see how you found a picture of a kludgy server room. I can even see how you found one that's been abandoned. But how the hell did you find one with a box of salt in it? I'm impressed!2 points

Worth remembering, I think, that Daddy's still fighting an illness that could have done him in. If he takes it easy and focuses on his health instead of his website for a little while longer, we should all be OK. As long as we continue to enjoy OZ's hospitality and try to keep ourselves entertained. When I find I'm a gay who's gray and lonely I just chuck up my chin and grin and say.... The site'll come up tomorrow So I've got to hang on till' tomorrow, come what may! Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll get some tomorrow It's only a day away!2 points

That was my understanding as well. And if he'd outsourced some of it, who knows, maybe the vendor would just up and steal all his content one day, one has to be careful about that, as Daddy knows...2 points

7 Superfoods You've Never Heard Of

7 Superfoods You've Never Heard Of The Huffington Post | By Alison Spiegel Alan Majchrowicz via Getty Images If you were asked to name a superfood, we're betting you might say quinoa. And if you were to rattle off a few more, you might mention goji berries, chia seeds or if it was 2009, acai. The term "superfood" is as overused as its meaning, nutritional powerhouse. Everyone's constantly on the lookout out for the next greatest miracle food that is packed with vitamins and antioxidants -- the answer to everyone's health problems. But what really is a superfood? The truth is that the term "superfood" isn't officially supported by the medical community at all. It's a marketing term... and it sure is working. Superfoods are, according to the dictionary, quite simply "nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being." That could qualify a lot of foods -- from the common ones we all know well, like blueberries and broccoli, to the trendy ones (ahem, quinoa and kale) to ones we never would have considered. Some we may not be familiar with at all, others we didn't know were even edible, and still others just mystify us altogether. Essentially, people are naming a whole lot of what we eat "superfoods" -- so many so that we're learning of new ones seemingly every day. The the seven 'superfoods' and the complete article at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/30/superfoods_n_5630992.html2 points -
And there is the core philosophy of this site. Enacted not only in the resources devoted to site development, maintenance & operation, but also in management's attitude and behavior in moderation/governance of these forums. All deeply appreciated by those who contribute, participate, and benefit here. Spoken by one who has the check to prove it.1 point

Great. Is it a Dirty Little Secret? Or, at least a pretty little secret? I am only teasing. I respect you keeping private what others tell you in private. I think it is just the two of us on this thread. So, please don't tell anyone that I am actually a big bottom who loves to wear diapers and be spanked while on a carousel.1 point

Oh, I didn't pick up on that post. So sorry. I am not sure why anyone would want to keep their own server these days. Most companies are moving to "cloud" servers. I lease servers but the cloud scares me as it is not something I know. Daddy is a bit older than me and he might feel the same way about having his server in another location not in his personal control. We all come to the table with different needs and preferences and I don't know Daddy's. I do know I would never trust my own sites not have a backup in a different location than the main server. I am sure that after this experience, he will most likely change things a bit. And, JKane, you are a sly one.1 point

Ms. Bryant as a lead character for gay bashing as well as OJ could well have used a good slug of vodka in her juice. And, often. Best regards, RA11 point

Not, regrettably, the least bit funny.1 point

Just occurred to me to think of the ad above as picturing the Bizarro version of Anita Bryant.1 point

Food is going to kill you!
boiworship reacted to RA1 for a topic
The human body needs salt. The Romans knew this and paid their salaries in salt or equivalent. However, we modern folks, especially in the USA, have way overindulged in salt. I do not cook with salt or even have it in the house but no doubt I still get way over my quota of salt. I find that salt usage is strictly a bad habit. Now, after many years of this kind of diet, even raw tomatoes taste salty and sometimes, too salty. Today, we do not need salt to preserve food as some did in the past. There are plenty of artificial preservatives with unpronounceable names which likely will kill us in ways other than the heart attacks, etc. that salt can bring on. Just choose your poison. "No salt added" is just a distractor. Without a doubt there was already too much salt in that product to start. It will take a lot of compromising, education and, perhaps, legislation to make much headway in the battle against salt. Best regards, RA1 PS---The salt vampire did indeed rush right to the point. No foreplay intended or required.1 point -
