27 Days and Nights in Thailand
eeyore and 2 others reacted to firecat691614502759 for a topic
I am not going to try to compete with the fabulous travelogue OZ has been giving us on Brazil , because I know I would finish 2nd. But I am going to try to show more photos of the wonderful country of Thailand and I will try to add some photos of the beautiful boys when I can. Having spent as much time in Thailand as I have , many of the boys I see are repeats and photos have been posted in the past but I will do my best. I left from Seattle and flew on ANA for the first time. It only takes a short time to notice the difference in service and especially smiles of a Japanese crew vs. a USA crew. No comparison in the level of service , the quality of food etc as compared to DL or United who I have always flown. Arriving into Tokyo was exciting on this flight since they had 40-50 mph cross winds and many airplanes could not land. On our first pass we got down to about 10 ft above the ground and he realized he couldn't make it and poured on the power and went around. I'm not sure how many people in the airplane realized how close we were to a disaster. I was in the first row of First Class(upgraded) and I am a pilot. I was scared. For a few minutes it looked like we were going to Osaka which of course would have been a mess for me in continuing on to Bangkok. After a few minutes I realized from the terrain that we were actually making another approach to Tokyo which the pilot never said anything about. He made it this time (barely) but believe me he earned his salary for that landing. Naturally everything was backed up so my flight to Bangkok was 2 hours late departing but arrived in Bangkok at 1am I am spending 4 nights in Bangkok before going to Pattaya, well actually 3 1/4 because I didn't get to the Hotel until after 2 am. Same Hotel that I posted photos last time so will not repeat , but a 700 sq foot 1 bedroom for $140 a night . That $140 won't get you much in Brazil or a lot in Europe and of course you can get some very nice rooms in Bangkok for $60-80. I think many people who have not travelled extensively outside the USA and especially to Asia may have a feeling that Thailand is sort of a step up from a 3rd world country. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bangkok is a world Class City with all that you would expect to find in New York, London etc. Sightseeing options are numerous with fabulous Palaces, Temples etc . For those who like shopping , the malls in Bangkok compare favorably to any in the world. Movie theaters where the ticket and popcorn and beverage combined cost 1/2 the price of a ticket in USA . There is really nothing you cannot find in Bangkok and that includes boys of any type for a price that is a joke compared to escorts in the USA. Massage parlors where you can get a great massage and a Happy Ending if you so choose for less then 1/2 the cost of a massage only in USA. I took a few photos of the #1 mall in Bangkok ( Siam Paragon)IMHO. Not sure you can tell the level of this mall but no money has been spared and they have only the Best names in Retail here and the eye candy is also great. I tried to show one of the largest Bookstores in Thailand and around the corner was a Maserati Dealership and of course this is on the 4th floor. The last few photos are of the biggest Food Court I have ever seen and there is just no way these photos can truly show what is available here. You could walk here for an hour and never pass the same place again. Also on this floor is a high end Grocery Store with a lot of Western Foods . The last photo to keep you interested is my desert for the afternoon. This young man is actually better looking then the photo. 2 hours with him for $65. It does not get much better.3 points -
Gay Vancouver – Experience The Great Outdoors At BoyToy.com we believe that our members like a little bit of variety in their gaycations. While it's wonderful to sit on a beach in Thailand during the day and hit the boy bars at night, that's not the only type of vacation you want. Sometimes you want to see a bit of history and culture and head over to Vienna or Paris. Other times, you want to have an active outdoors vacation. And that's fine. In fact, my manly men, big old bears, turgid twinks and sexy silver foxes, that's why today I'm going to talk to you about one of the best places in the gay world for a vacation if you are into the great outdoors – Vancouver Canada. Vancouver doesn't get a lot of talk in the gay press, and that's a shame – since it's so gay-friendly that it has the highest number of gay men of any Canadian city. There is lots to do, it's perfectly acceptable to hold hands or smooch a dude in public and, like Toronto, the city is incredibly gay-positive. And, there is so much to do. Because it's located on the water, but surrounded by mountains, you can literally windsurf in the mornings, then go snowboarding in the afternoon of the same day. So you can, in essence, combine a summer and winter vacation in one trip. How fun is that? Running and biking are also very popular, particularly along the Seawall, a great route that takes you through beautiful parks with striking water views. There are also a bunch of golf courses, and renting speedboats is also very popular. All in all, if you want to do something other than a rent boy, Vancouver is a great gay destination. The only downside for some people is that the beaches tend to have rocks rather than sand at the water's edge. You'll get used to it, but it can be a distraction if you are used to sand with your sun. The Gayborhoods Just like Toronto, Vancouver has two distinct gayborhoods. The most prominent one is the West End, which is gay in general, but has a super-gay subsection called Davie Village. The village is marked with giant rainbow flag signs, and nearly every business in the village also displays the rainbow. When you are in Davie Village, you may feel like you are in an alternate universe where straight people don't exist – and that's not always a bad thing, if you know what I mean. When there, you'll want to check out Little Sister's Book And Art Emporium – one of the oldest gay book stories in North America. You'll have access to free maps, and magazines detailing what's going on with gay life in Vancouver at the moment. Many bars and clubs also leave coupons here for free drinks and discounted entry, so it should certainly be your first stop when you get into town and want to get oriented. The other gayborhood is Commercial Drive. The main advantage Commercial has over Davie Village is that the restaurants are much better – so if you want a good meal before a night of sucking and fucking, Commercial Drive may be the destination for you. The downside of Commercial Drive is that it has a much higher percentage of lesbians and lesbian-themed bars and clubs than Davie Village. So, if it bothers you to be in a part of town where the majority of the gay population has vaginas, then you'll probably want to spend most of your time in Davie Village. Saunas Both Davie Village and Commercial Drive have a ton of gay saunas. They are not very expensive, and tend to attract a mixed crowd – everyone from college kids to dudes in their 70s. They tend to not attract very many rent boys, but there is generally enough of a variety of man meat. While we generally don't endorse specific places in these travel guides, we have to recommend Steamworks, which is actually a chain of gay saunas that have theme nights, dark rooms, dance parties and the type of stuff you'd generally associate with a club rather than a sauna. It's a somewhat unique experience to be in a corporate-owned gay sex sauna franchise. Gay Life In Vancouver Canadians are so damned civilized compared to America when it comes to the gays. You can get married in Vancouver. Gay escorts are also completely legal, and there are multiple gay brothels. Beyond that, gay escorts can and do advertise legally online, in gay magazines, and even in local newspapers. Being in Vancouver or Toronto is the closest you'll get to being treated exactly the way straight people are in most of the world. This alone is reason enough to take a visit and contribute some cash to their local economy. July is when Vancouver holds their pride parade. There are also multiple fetish parades, gay and lesbian film festivals, drag shows, strip bars and everything else you can imagine in your kinky little brains. Tourist Things Because Vancouver is a very young city, you won't see the types of churches and traditional tourist attractions you find in Europe or the Far East. But there are still some fun things you can write home about. The Granville Island Brewery is awesome for anyone who likes beer. And because of the large Chinese population, Vancouver is known for having the best dim sum restaurants in North America. The Museum of Anthropology is also popular. Let's Do Vancouver! Vancouver is very nice to the gays, so let's reward them for being cool – I'd love to fly up there and meet you by the hotel pool! We might even have time to snowboard before we hit the clubs or at least site by the fire and watch our boytoy's hit the slopes. cc boytoy.com 20131 point

27 Days and Nights in Thailand

Continuation of Day 1. Continuing on I met an old friend and we went out at night with the first stop Soi 4 . For those of you who don't know this is a gay street but without any GoGo Bars. Restaurants and Bars and it has changed drastically in the last few months. More new restaurants and a Club with live music and even a massage parlor. We were pretyy early so could not sample the live music but I have heard it can be quite good. Always a lot of energy on this street and a perfect way to start the evening. Then it was on to what is known as Soi Twilight where most of the GoGo Bars in Thailand reside. The price of drinks at these places have caused many regular visitors to look for other opportunities but for the first time visitor it is a must. Many bars have 30 or 40 boys and one has over a 100. Numerous bars have live Sex show sand if you have never seen one it can be fun. The surprise this evening was as you enter the Soi on the right there is an outside Bar not Go Go and tonight we got stopped by the most adorable waiter and even better then that a great personality and smile. I have walked by that bar a thousand times and never stopped. Tonight we spent quite some time there and we discovered more boys working there that we knew previously from GoGo Bars. The drinks are very reasonable by Gay Bangkok standards . 60 baht for sodas and drinks and I think 120 baht for Booze and my friend said the drinks were doubles. We probably spent over an hour there and with drinks for the boys and tips for the 2 cutest , I spent 700 baht about $24. The adorable one is on my radar . Unfortunately I think he liked my friend a lot more since he is 40 years younger. But I will be trying. After that we proceeded down to Classic Boys Club where I had read the stable of boys had improved and so worth paying 270 baht or $9 for drinks. We walked in and the show was in full swing with 2 boys walking around in the audience coupled together if you get my drift. They then proceeded to remain coupled on some trapeeze rings . Very educational! LOL After the show about 30 boys came back on stage and there was something for everyone , including Fem boys , Masculine, Straight (maybe) etc. Some very attractive boys. Now it was time to go to sleep since I am seriousy jet lagged. Will be back with more when I have someting interesting. And for those of you who have never been but want to go there is a lot more information. on http://Gaythailand.com1 point -
TOTZ- I have to agree with you on this point. 6 years, once and done, would be a good solution. I personally am not a big fan of BO and have to think that his plan is to "perform" the second term which has both its' good and bad points. Best regards, RA11 point

I think this is Axiom's guide recommendation. I have contacted him and hope to work out something but as this is last minute, we will see. Thanks for the recommendation. http://www.salvadortourguide.com1 point

To all the mathematicians, engineers, scientists and nerds, a very happy Pi Day to you all. For those not sure how to celebrate, tradition is to have some of your favorite pie (mine is lemon crunch). Watching Life of Pi is another good way to celebrate. Exchanging of gifts is optional and hopefully you are able to take the day off and enjoy whatever festivities are planned in your city (if you are lucky, you can find a Pi Day Parade to enjoy). So to everyone here...Happy Pi Day!!!!! Here is an enjoyable Pi song: Btw, We are fortunate to have Pi Day every year. For those that celebrate Square Root Day, they have to wait until 04/04/16 for the next one.1 point

Well, I, for one, am glad it isn't another century we are celebrating. I don't know if I could live through another year of arguing about if the century started on "00" or "01". We all know it starts at "01" right? And, in closing, to quote one of our favorite Tar Heel philosophers Andy Griffith, "Pie are round, cornbread are square". Best regards, RA11 point

FABULOUS Report and amazing photos! I can't wait to read your reports. Thanks so much for sharing your trip. You ALWAYS have better photos than I do.1 point

Oz, perhaps you should really take it easy in Bahia before traveling again. Have Fernando take you to one of those beautiful islands outside of the city. Rest and relax in the sun and have cuties serve you good drinks to enhance your overall being for the next leg of your trip. I do wish you the best in all areas!1 point

I HOPE you GET BETTER SOON! Being ill on a vacation long planned for, etc. is utter hell. If this is your first visit to Salvador and you are in need of a certified tour guide, Fernando has a superb reputation. He's on TripAdvisor, is gay and experienced, etc. I have not used his services directly but others whom I know have and had nothing but raves about his expertise, etc. Two amigos of mine plan to use his services when they venture to Salvador {Bahia} in July/August 2013.1 point
