Woke up at 3am by the thunder storm. Cutting short my stay at Porto Alegre for 1 day to spend another night with Maikon in São Paulo. At the airport waiting for my flight. Overall, PA has some interesting spots for gay visitors. Mezz is pretty good on weekends. Boys are sweet here. Attaching pic of Lucas to give you a taste of the twinks on offering. Personally, I don't mind folks airing their grievances or anything else they choose to air. Sometimes it does a body good to purge the evil vapors. But I'm never sure where the line is between venting and kvetching. A day or two, and a thread or two, seems about right to me. Less than that, and the noxious gases may continue to build and cause distress. And more than that may give this site a reputation as The Village of the Banned and make it less desirable for new members. I recall a site called EscortSpeak which was an offshoot of another site and seemed to owe its very existence to disgruntled posters from the other site. Soon enough, anyone who wanted to let bygones be bygones and move on to more positive topics was marginalized. It became a very negative place and eventually ceased to exist. I have no doubt that OZ and TY are able to see any such trends developing here and take whatever precautions are necessary to protect their 'brand'. But one of the things I enjoy so much about this site is that the members are usually able to moderate themselves, and free up TY and OZ for more worthwhile pursuits. Like Lucky, I hope that it will soon be time to move on to more creative threads and leave the past in the rear view mirror.

So I have been in Pattaya for 4 days and slowly recovering from the flights which seems to take me longer the older I get. Last four days I have ordered in my boys either from my past list or new from GayRomeo. So tonight I braved the High Season Traffic and took the baht bus around 840pm. It was a slow trudge but I arrived finally to ToyBoys at 905pm. Now for those of you who have never been to Thailand, You really can't understand what it is like to walk into a Bar and pay no cover charge and $5 for your drink and have up to 40 Boys vying for your attention. They all want to go home with you for what is just a ridiculous tiny amount of money. When I entered there were about 15 boys and 4 customers and when I left at 10pm there were 35-40 boys and 15 customers. Boys were still arriving. I can honestly say I would have been happy to take any of the boys home ! There was a variety from small to Gymnast type bodies with the majority being swimmers type. However I am first a Face person and there was not a single boy I found unattractive. Naturally IMHO I did pay an off for a boy to come the next day at 6pm. From there I went to Funny Boys which IMHO has been the best GoGo Bar for years. And they were good tonight , just not quite as good. Not what I would call a gymnast worked out bodies and a few faces that were not my preference. But definitely a lot of boys I would be happy with. Now it was on to XBoys Land for the XXX show. I have seen this show 3 times in the past and it has always been a little different. Tonight it seemed to me that it has gone much more XXX and no pretense of anything else. The show finished with the BBoys which I have to admit is getting a little old. Someone on another board reported some naked BBoys but that was not on tap tonight. For those of you not familiar with Thai xxx shows. There will be a full on Fuck show in a multitude of positions and walking around and in your lap for closer inspection. There are also some shower skits , oral skits. The BBoys I refer to are a group of Brake Dance Boys who end the show and lend something different. Although it is getting old for me I have heard that at times they have done the show naked which would definitely get my interest up again. yes Amazing Thailand!!!

I did not. I ordered pizza and a salad (never making it to the salad) and watched Notre Dame lose. CL was a bust, except for the young man that arrives today. I may take him for a drink and a lay this evening. I was turned off at the $600 for a few drinks and a roll in the hay with Russian Dima. I suppose it's reasonable for 3 hours, but I don't pay for drinking buddies (in my home town) at an hourly rate. I prefer a package deal, especially since we've seen each other locally, and traveled together more than a few times. Not a reflection on Dima, he certainly can choose his rates, it's merely where I'm at these days. Actually, it's unusual for me to repeatedly hire the same guy without a package deal. I have a boy in Fort Lauderdale (met him a Johnny's, now he works at ...) that I met 2 years ago; we travel extensively together, and I usually pay $500 per 24 hours. When the boy and I went to Hawaii last year I only paid $1000 for 5 days. I figured (and he agreed) that the Four Seasons, plane ticket, fabulous meals, drinks, and MANY excursions, made up for it. This certainly would not fly with many escorts, but I suggest trying these tactics out. The 1-2k per day on vacation, for me, is ridiculous. This especially holds true when all I expect is a 5 minute fuck, one round of head per day, and an evening audience to witness my gift of the gab at the lobby bar. He's merely telling HIS story, as you had the opportunity to do when your just got Banned and came here. Noone bashed you for telling your story. We listened, so I think its a bit selfish and indulgent not to afford city the same opportunity. If I recall, you were Banned several times "there" and went back each time, never mentioning the issues you were Banned for. The spell checker on my iPhone is a great boon. Sometimes it translates my thoughts into Esperanto, other times into Borat-speak.

As far as I can tell, the spell check function is built into your browser (or some other applications, like word processors) and not into the site itself. I'm using Safari 5.1.7 on a Mac, and it has a spell check function built in. That said, it's necessary to turn it on, which is an option under the 'Edit' menu. Also, Mac OS X has system-wide spell checking. Wonder what would happin if I negglekted to turn it on?

Sunday is a nice warm cloudy day. The city centro looks empty at 10am. My hotel is 200 meters or so from the metropolitan cathedral, I often took a stroll there then to the river bed for a walk. It's nice in the shades. Even machado is closed. If you like taking photos, you pretty much have it mostly to yourself Back to the hotels after walked up some sweat. The room cleaning is very well managed in the hotel, seems they call in the maid once you are out and it's done when you are back. Showered and out for lunch. The neighborhood buffet place is also closed! So walk to the shopping centre close to machado. Most of the shops are closed, but food court is open. Saw the cute dark boy occupied with a customer last night eating in McDonalds, small world There are a couple buffet places, 19r here, drinks extra. Food selection is very good. On way back to hotel afterwards, the hop on-off tourist bus ran by with just a dozen tourists scattered on the top. They don't seem to get a lot of demand for English guide, so the recordings on the bus is portugese only. And no one seems to hop off when I rode it a few days earlier. Honestly, not much to see here. Nice stroll in the centro by yourself though, if you like walking. I like the small parks and beautiful trees here. Especially when it is snowing back home Last visit to Mezz for this trip, arrived at 6:45. It's much quieter here comparing with Saturday. Most of the regulars are here. If you like tall, muscular boys, come, you will love it. I generally like smaller twinkish boys, shorter than 6 feet. Seems the twinks are on strike tonight even the ones I saw on earlier visits are not coming tonight. Actually it seems we have more customers than boys tonight. But not much actions going on here, you can pretty much take your pick. Perhaps Ax is right New Years might not be the best time to visit as it could be a big holiday for family gathering. If you can convince him to visit the Banespa building with you, I am confident that you both will have a splendid time. Remember, the building is within walking distance of the Praca da Republica. Also remember that the building was "inspired" by the New York Empire State building. It is not a copy or anything as grand as the New York building. However, for Sao Paulo, it is quite a nice building to see. The personnel who regulate the visitors are organized and keep the flow of people fairly constant. If you do go, you should check a map and take the route that passes the BM&F Bovespa which is quite near to the Banespa building. The BM&F Bovespa is Brazil's near equivalent to the U.S. New York Stock Exchange. If you are interested in business, you might want to look inside the Bovespa building some time. The area of the Banespa and Bovespa is a general business area and is quite safe to be there during the day. The route to the Banespa (if you pass the Bovespa) will take you past many nice restaurants in the general area of the stock exchange. Being a financial area, the restaurants are all very nice. The restaurants are open during the day (for the Bovespa workers) and nearby business people and those willing to pay slightly higher prices than one pays at an ordinary restaurant in Sao Paulo. The prices are not excessive but they are slightly higher than restaurants in other areas of Sao Paulo. After visiting the Banespa building, on your return, you could stop at one of the restaurants you pass on route there, assuming you see one you like. If it is raining, there is a good chance the observation deck is closed. If it is cloudy, and the deck is open, the view might be hampered somewhat because the clouds can interfere with the view. With luck, you will find a clear day or time to visit the building. The above is solely something to consider even if you went there alone.
