  1. I compared his enthusiasm and performance with other masseurs that I have been with and found him lacking.

  2. Totally Oz gives good advice. My massage at Hero was a disappointment, but I did not ask the mamasan for information first. I went simply on looks, and got a straight guy who was bored all the way. Picking a guy at a massage parlor in Thailand is both fun and awkward. When you enter many places, the boys stop playing pool or whatever they were doing, and line up. As you look at them, they are also looking at you. They can't speak, so some use eyes and mouths to garner your interest. You ultimately have to disappoint all of them but one, but there never seem to be any hard feelings. And the one you picked is usually quite happy.

  3. With the nick name Lucky , I can't understand how you have ever had trouble bringing boys back to Big Hotels in Thailand. Maybe we should change your name to Unlucky? LOL I have brought boys back to every Marriott, Sheraton and Hilton in Bangkok. as well as many other large Hotels. I have never been bothered by anyone except for an occasional request for an ID to be left at Reception. Never been asked for a Joiners fee and if I was I would laugh at them. I always reserve a room for 2 people and who I bring in is my own business. I will say I have heard that the new Hilton in Pattaya has been a pain in the ass about guests but I have no personal experience.

  4. First, let me say that the Intercontinental brand is one of my favorites. I keep their top tier status for a reason; they treat me well. I have seen the hotel in Hua Hin for a while but never been able to stay here for an extended period of time. The boys and I wanted to get away from the hustle and craziness of Bangkok for a few days so we made our way to Hua Hin. The hotel is fabulous! It is simply amazing. I can't recommend it enough. The pool is incredible. The service is top notch. The daily breakfast buffet is amazing. The restaurants are great and the management is hands on and easy to work with. We checked into one of their pool suites and the view of the pool and the ocean was right in front of us. We had an oversized balconies that had a full day bed on it where the boys were able to play games, smoke and watch the activities outside. The hotel is directly on the beach and it is very private and they will even server you food on the beach and take care of you if you wander away from the hotel. There is a lot to see in Hua Hin and we were able to eat at some great restaurants downtown. The ride to the downtown costs us 100 baht each way via Tuk Tuk. While we did eat out every dinner, we at the hotel for Breakfast and Lunch each day. Normally lunch was served to us at the pool. We became very friendly with the pool bartenders and the boys loved chatting with them. The price for most rooms at the hotel start at around 6,000 baht per night. You can go up from there. Lunches for the 3 of us normally was around 1800 baht but that was for the drinks and beer we had pool side as well. If you have a 3rd person in the room, they charge an extra 2,000 baht per night but bring to your room a roll away bed and they include breakfast in that rate. As it is impossible to just sneak someone in and out of this small intimate hotel, I paid for the extra rate for the extra boy that stayed with us. If you want relaxation, this hotel is amazing. If you want good service, this hotel is great. It is a bit on the pricey side but it is a true little piece of paradise. IMHO http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/intercontinental/en/gb/locations/huahin

  6. Hero is a massage place that caters to gay men and there is a "happy ending" at the end. To know what you will get, you simply ask the mamasan aka hostess what each does. They will point to you a group that does everything (top and bottom) and a group that is top only. All will suck dick that I have ever met but I always ask in advance. The massage is a professional massage for about 40 minutes and then sex for about 20. They will always start to jack you off and get you to cum that way or orally. You simply tell them, "I want to fuck you." and they say OK. They will always do what they are expected if you are told in advance what they want. You are led by the boy to a massage room with a shower. They shower you (wash you, clean you and dry you with a towel). There is a massage table or a bed depending on the room you get (regular or deluxe). They then give you a massage and then a "happy ending." I have been to Hero at least 100 times over the years and always been happy with what I get. But, I listen to the mamasan. One guy I REALLY want for years and the mamasan always tells me, "sometimes he is good and sometimes he is bad. Sometimes he tries to rush and someones people like him. But, it is a gamble with him." I have been told this about 10 times over the years and have not tested the boy yet but I wanted to yesterday. They all have with them condoms in case anal sex is involved. Some will use it for oral depending on the guy. They get a minimum tip of 1,000 baht which is theirs to keep. Some will do 3 massages per day or more and thus this is a great job and they make great money and stay for years.

    I Need A Bank

Stay with a state chartered or regional bank and away from the big boys whose business model is to screw you. Check out any credit unions in your area too.

  10. I have not reached the age to need a assisted care facility yet. But, I do think about the future. While I do love the idea of a "Golden Girls" type of situation, I am not sure that will happen. I had to put my grandmother in a facility last year at a cost of over 10k per month. The prices in the USA are crazy. I read this article below today on Flyer Talk and wondered if there were places in Thailand, Brazil, PR or other places that others heard about? http://www.flyertalk...mes-abroad.html

  11. Stayed here shortly after it opened over 2 years ago. The pool is indeed one of the best I have seen. There are more restaurants near Hilton Hua Hin. If you are interested in Intercontinental Hua Hin, you should check this out: http://www.luxurylink.com/fivestar/hotels/hua-hin-thailand/intercontinental-hua-hin-resort?pkid=259997&ppid=22734&len=5

  12. I have stayed at this hotel well over 200 nights over the past 10 years and I never hesitate to stay there when I am in Thailand. The staff is simply incredible. From the time you walk onto their property you are treated like you are respected and appreciated. The staff goes out of its way to make customers welcome and to make sure they have a fabulous experience. I am a Platinum member with Marriott and the VIP staff always welcomes me and takes great care to be sure I have a good room and everything I need to have a successful stay. The swimming pool is the best that Pattaya has to offer and would give most hotels in Asia a run for their money. The pool bar has happy hour every day at 4PM and it is always fun to hear the drums and the gongs to let everyone know it is happy hour and 1/2 price drinks. The gardens are a delight. The rooms are nothing special but they are very well maintained and always cleaned to perfection. The Internet is high speed and when there is a problem with anything, they do whatever they can to make it right fast. My stay on this trip was for 2 1/2 weeks. Every day I stayed there, I was treated like an A-list celebrity and I knew I would wake up the next day to another wonderful day. Breakfast every morning is amazing and they have a large variety of offerings. The GM walks the hotel constantly to make sure everything is going great with all guests. Most who see this man do not know he is the Manager but as I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years, I have met him and always enjoy talking to him. But, more importantly, a day does not go by that I don't see him walking and inspecting the hotel at least 3-4 times. That is not something I ever seen anyone do at other hotels and it is in my opinion why this hotel keeps in the terrific shape it is in. I know many are interested in whether or not you can bring guests into the hotel and I have never had a problem with this. It is not going to be an issue for them as long as your guest is over 18 and has an ID card. They leave that with security when they get to the hotel and they pick it up on exit. I have no problem with doing this. However, my long term boys stayed with me the entire trip and I just checked them into my room so they had a hotel key and could come and go as they wanted. This also means they could charge anything they want to the bill. As we all had happy hour every day at the hotel pool bar, I was not surprised to see my bill on exit was 50 percent food and beverage as the boys would have friends over for swimming and even with discounts, it adds up quick! I had food poisoning before I got to the hotel and was a bit under the weather for the entire trip and ended up only going out of the hotel 2-3 times over the entire trip. So, I spent the vast majority of the trip inside the hotel grounds and I could not have asked for a nicer experience. If you are going to be in Thailand and want a fabulous place to stay, you can't go wrong with this hotel. They will treat you well and you will understand what makes Thailand so amazing!

  13. I had a nice room with full breakfast for less than 125 a night at the Marriott. Yes, I know expensive for Thailand but I love the hotel. Lookin, you can get rooms in the gay area for around 50 USD a night. see: http://www.ambiancehotel.com/ http://www.caferoyale-pattaya.com/ http://www.copapattaya.com/ If you wish your own apartment, firecat stays at condos for around 50 USD a night I think. He loves it as total privacy and your own room near the big mall. He uses a service to book. Let me know if interested and I'll get info. Also, there are tons of cheap hotels for 25 USD a night. But, the ones listed above I know and would have no problem staying in any of them.

  14. I must agree with your comments on the Pattaya Marriott. I am a Lifetime Marriott Platinum Elite and stayed at this hotel for every trip I made to Pattaya. This hotel always treated me like a king. I went into their membership lounge each morning for a light breakfast while reading an English paper and watching CNN headlines. Was always greeted by name as I passed the reception desk and in the lounge. One trip I was there on my birthday. While eating breakfast the manager and several hotel staff slipped up behind me with a birthday cake with candles and my name on it. The staff then sang Happy Birthday to me. One of the biggest surprises of my life. I think my smile was almost as big as my Thai friends that morning.

  15. Hoover, take the trip to EU and relax a few days and then do the EU to Bangkok leg. It is not so bad that way. I know many from the East Coast that are now using the Arab airlines. The rates are low and the services is excellent and the flight time is manageable. Honestly, I am really tired after this flight but it is so worth it. The guys that are available in Thailand are 10 times that you find anywhere else on earth. (10 times is a modest estimate)

Sorry, I have not been around for a bit. I have been in India with my beloved Thai boyfriend having a honeymoon. We are working mostly though the week but are touring a lot on the weekends. Last week was Mumbai and this week was Delhi and the Taj Mahal. I have great stories and some great reviews for hotels in a week or two when things slow down here. I just wanted to let you know I am reading but not posting much. Cheers from India!

Thanks so much guys. We are also going to Delhi, Agra, Pune and Goa on this trip. I have looked for the pole dancers but I have not found them yet. I have been told they are mostly up north. We are spending so much time down south, I am not sure we will see them. But, I hope to. For Mumbai, we stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel on Marine Drive. The Intercontinental Hotel in Mumbai is a very nice small hotel. The rooms are clean with a nice view of the ocean. The area is safe to walk around and enjoyable to walk on the sidewalk near the water. The food in the hotel is average to sub average. It was just nothing special and did not do the Intercontinental Hotel brand justice. I did have a corner room but the windows were filthy and it was hard to see out and taking photos outside were useless. Perhaps it is hard in Mumbai to keep clean windows but more effort should be made. The noise from the blowing of horns on the street kept us from sleeping well every night. I realize the hotel can’t control the noise but the windows should have been thicker to keep out the noise. I am a Platinum Member of the hotel and I thought I booked a room with free Internet but on check out, I had a high charge for the Internet. If I had known this, I would have booked a Marriott Hotel as they do give Platinum Members Free Internet. The Internet was slow and the speed was less than OK the majority of my stay. The staff was friendly and professional. All in all, this is a good 2-3 star hotel but with so many other options, I wish I had chosen better for my stay in Mumbai. Price wise, we spent average of 400 USD for each night of stay. I guess this is the reason I was disappointed. For that rate, we should have had a fabulous experience.

Great pictures! Takes me back, although when I was there forty-some years ago, there weren't any skyscrapers. If you like mangoes, be sure and try some. The best in the world. Cut a ripe one around the circumference, twist apart, and eat with a spoon. Yum! And clothes! You should be able to get a shirt custom-made in a day or two, and at a price close to store-bought. One thing I recall, and I wonder if you and your beloved notice it: You can be walking along the most crowded street or in the bazaar, and you'll never have anyone touch or even brush against you. A remnant of the caste system. I really envy you your time there. What cities are you going to next? I'm sure Westerners aren't much of a rarity in the cities but, if you get into the boondocks, don't be surprised if a stranger invites you home for dinner and gives you the best meal of your life. आनन्द! PS: A few weeks ago, there was a TV program that showed Indian pole wrestling. It's not what you think. It's a form of gymnastics using only a pole, and popular among twenty-somethings. It's done on the street or in a park, so you won't have to buy tickets. Just ask around until you find places where it's practiced. You'll see some incredible bodies and, from what I saw, the boys love to show off.

Mumbai is a great city. The Thai boyfriend and I had time for a visit recently and really enjoyed ourselves. We took a tour of the city and we also hired a private guide to give us a tour of the slums that Slumdog Millionaire was filmed in. We saw everything we could from the Gateway to India to the Billion Dollar House to the Hanging Gardens to the local spice market. The city is crazy. The traffic is nuts. I have never seen anything like this in my life. It was dangerous only in traffic. I felt very comfortable everywhere we went. I had zero issues with safety and don't think anyone would worry there. I loved the look of the old taxis and the bicycle taxis as well as all the Tuk Tuk's in the city. I really enjoyed the Spice Market. We bought some great spice for the BF's family. The old man that sold it to us was so much fun as he wanted us to smell everything. I have attached a few photos from Mumbai. More to come from other cities. I hope you enjoy!

I haven't been with anyone other than the BF but we have seen lots of locals that were hot. At the Taj, we saw several gay groups. Obvious to us anyway. And, at our hotel there were many gay couples. At dinner one night it was all filled with gay partners.
