Hello everyone. I have been asked for years to take more photos on my trips and I am determined this trip to do just that. To appease my friend Firecat and to try to live up to Tomcal's Brazil adventures, I'll try to post a few photos from my time in the Land of Smiles on this trip. First stop: Super A and a nice young man named Bo. He is 22 years old and cute and sweet. He is a very passive kisser and has a nice tongue ring and several Buddha tattoos over his body. I met him last night and wanted to spend time with him but the long term boyfriend wore me out as it was my first day in paradise. So, I booked an appointment with him this afternoon and paid his "off fee" last night to the bar and he showed up (Thai time) at my hotel and the BF went down to get him. I have been to Carnival 7 times over the years and hit the saunas each time and loved it. I love choice and I don't mind paying a premium. There are out of town guys and I met some hot Czech guys and Spanish guys and even Americans who were willing to work as they wanted to make some cash and I wanted to play. I also have taken boys from 117 to the Sambadome several times and each time the boys had the time of their life and really loved it. Gala Gay at the Scala Club is great and I have done that 4 times and had fun with it. Carnival is an amazing time and if the USD was not so shitty, I'd still be there every year.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Thursday that she will instruct immigration agents to consider same-sex relationships the same as heterosexual ones in determining whether an individual should be deported, a victory for advocates and members of Congress who worried verbal instructions could be ignored. Although the administration had previously told reporters and others that same-sex relationships will be taken into account when making deportation decisions, putting it in writing for field officers is considered to be an important change. "This is a huge step forward," Rachel B. Tiven, executive director of gay rights and reform group Immigration Equality, said in a statement. "Until now, LGBT families and their lawyers had nothing to rely on but an oral promise that prosecutorial discretion would include all families. Today, DHS has responded to Congress and made that promise real." DHS released guidelines in 2011 instructing agents to consider a variety of factors -- including family relationships, the age an individual came to the U.S. and other ties to the country -- when determining whether the immigrant is high-priority for deportation. More than 80 House Democrats, led by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Rep. Mike Honda (D-Calif.) and Rep. Ms. Coulter couldn't care less what the likes of Whoopi or Barbara think about her. I doubt she believes her nonsense any more than you do. She's just working the simple folk for her share of their cash. Reminds me of the Pentacostal preachers that have infested my section of the country for so long. The book royalties and speaking fees are her tent poles and collection plates.

I liked Curitiba. Took the bus ["the hop on hop off one] to see some of the important venues that are throughout the city. ...enjoyed the cleanliness and eco sense that prevails there. ...enjoyed the sauna merely as a spectator. When a friend and I went, I was ill because a hottie in Rio at Club 117 ["our Anderson"] had fucked my face so hard that he made me ill for a week. Since I did NOT want to make any of the sauna boys ill while in Curitiba, I did not go with any. They questioned my friend as to why I chose NOT to engage their services or seek their company. Too bad, too, because that night had few clients but about fifteen sauna guys. Enjoy yourself culturally and otherwise!!

Saunas are very busy during the 4 days of carnival, most of the boys stick around cause they know there will be an extraordinary amount of tourist both foreigners and from other parts of Brazil, with lots of money flowing around. Besides the locals, boys from nearby states come to Rio just for business, cause is the place to be. Boywise is one the best times of the year if not the best, to be in a Rio sauna, be warned that fees are a little higher at this time of the year. If you are heading to Rio mainly for boys don't lose any minute with bandas and blocos, the music is boring and monotone and they are basically all the same. If you happen to bump into one on your way to a sauna, give it 15 minutes for the exotic side of it, then follow your destiny and lose yourself in paradise.

On the days leading up to the start of Carnaval - for me that Friday - the sauna have many boys coming in for the increased number of clients, both Brasilian and tourist, as wells as the much greater amount of money being spent. From that Friday on, I, and I assume many others, are too busy with blocos and bandas and the desfiles in the sambodromo to head to a sauna. So on that I have not much more of a clue. If memory serves me, back in 2005/2006, 117 was really busy. But memory can be more than foggy at times, and/or soggy with sweat and cerveja.
