The only one of its type in Thailand with the tradition of a Buddha image procession and grabbing the flag. This tradition has been passed down for more than 100 years. It is held annually during the end of Buddhist Lent (1st day of the 11th waning moon). In the morning, alms are offered, procession of land and water bound Buddha images, and traditional long boat parades carrying the Royal Plaque and Trophies of H.M. the King and the Royal Family. After that, the traditional long boat races begin. The winner must enter the finish line or grab the flag from a man crouching on a bow of a boat.
