Okay good to know. My first trip to Thailand was last year and I went to KMan Spa twice. Neither time did they ask to negotiate a price, it just proceeded to the full deal post-massage (however, they each all spoke virtually no English which might have been the reason). Each time I left a 50% overage on the minimum tip (1500 TBH vs 1000 TBH), which I based on the one fellow here who has a review blog (can't recall the name) and said his max tip is 1200 TBH. But now it sounds like I was undercutting them by about 1500 TBH! I wonder if I'll even be allowed back?! LOL.  Anyway, thanks for guidance! 

Day 4 in Da Nang – 27 April 2025   Wake up with a subtle headache (hangover) and run over to my favorite breakfast place, An Food to eat my scrumptious : Bò né and drink a power wake up Vietnamese salt coffee. What luck – when I was in Cebu – I encountered the annual Sinulog festival, and now in Vietnam I am encountering the 4 day Vietnamese Reunification Day celebrations, where 30 April 2025 is the actual 50th year anniversary – which is also my mother’s birthday (had she still been alive she would have been 80 years old). All of these events brings me back to my childhood, back in April of 1975, when I came home from school on 29 April 1975, and my mother was crying on the sofa and told me – look at the TV son.  We have lost.  We are losers.  Son, this is awful what we did. Fall of Saigon 29 April, 1975 – last helicopters evacuating from the USA embassy I sat on the sofa trying to comfort my mother, as I was too young to understand what was happening – but I knew that it was extremely important by the way my mother was an emotional mess and it seared into my mind this event forever. So tomorrow, on 30 April 2025, my mother’s birthday, I will rent a motorbike and drive up to the Lady Buddha temple here in Da Nang to pay my respects to both my mother (her birthday) and to Vietnam – on their 50 year Vietnamese Reunification Day. What a moment to be alive and to live in this moment!! Walk back to my room and call it a night.   End of day 4 in Da Nang – 27 April 2025    

Our stable genius, donOLD, just learned that red birds get to elect the next pope.

My ideal bar would be a re -creation of the old Eros bar. It had everything I want - 1. guys dancing (yes, really!) on plinths right in front of me, wearing just a small piece of cloth that sometimes didn't even cover the goods  2. Reasonably priced drinks  3. A variety of types of guys to suit everyone, and plenty of tops and bottoms  4. Lots of available guys who were totally uninhibited and very friendly  5. Full hands-on fun. The guys were up for anything. You could even take them to the room next to the bar if you wanted to fuck  6. Music at an appropriate volume  7. Great air conditioning  8. Open until late  9. Smoking area outside where you could sit and chat with the guys  10. Non-pushy mama-san 11. No need for a show. You could enjoy your own show in the bar with the guys, or get a couple of guys to put on a show for you  12. Guys could get a hard-on at the drop of a hat   

I'm confused. Why would any pope be paid $32000 per month?  Don't they take a vow of poverty? How are they meant to spend such a large salary?
